A technical inspection sequence

The service follows the energy path from primary network connections through heat exchange, domestic hot water and space-heating circuits.

• Record manufacturer, model and serial data
• Inspect isolation, strainers, joints and visible condition
• Measure primary and secondary temperatures
• Verify domestic hot-water response under flow
• Test heating demand, pump and control outputs
• Review meter and controller indications
• Record defects, observations and recommended actions

Performance, not just operation

A unit can deliver heat while returning excessive temperature or responding poorly to demand. Recorded measurements create evidence for individual repair and network-level decisions.

Safe engineering attendance

Conclusive diagnosis requires an engineer on site to measure temperatures, pressures, flow, electrical supply and control response under operating conditions. Do not remove the HIU cover or attempt adjustments before attendance.
